8830 First Aid 2 The purpose of this course is to help students to identify and eliminate potentially hazardous conditions in the environment, recognize emergencies and make appropriate decisions for first aid care. It teaches skills that students need to know in order to provide immediate care of a suddenly ill or injured person and help sustain life and minimize the consequences of injuries by ABC protocol, CPR, burn care and wound care until more advanced medical care arrives.
